PUPPY MILLS and HOARDING
FROM THE ASPCA -
What is a Puppy Mill? A puppy mill is a large-scale commercial dog breeding operation where profit is given priority over the well-being of the dogs. "Backyard puppy mills" are not governed by any laws and are especially unsanitary, dangerous and horrible. Breeding at puppy mills is performed without consideration of genetic quality and typically a lot of inbreeding leads to unwanted (aka 'not profitable') dogs that are dumped or otherwise killed.. FAQS about puppy mills. Many associate puppy mills with "hoarding" - Hoarding is at once a complex animal cruelty issue, mental health issue and public safety issue. The ASPCA works to ensure hoarders and their victims get the help they need. They have an excellent page on hoarding. Please read more about hoarding here. PLEASE support these organizations that rescue the poor souls from a horrid life and work tirelessly to end the injustice and cruelty mills and hoarding inflict. The Puppy Mill Project, National Mill Dog Rescue, Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) , Puppy Mill Rescue Please share and help fight puppy mills! http://bit.ly/1aINqJS Let Freedom Howl
This is what the fight is about... The five freedoms as all dogs should have: 1. Freedom from hunger or thirst with ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour 2. Freedom from discomfort by providing an appropriate environment including shelter from all the elements and a comfortable resting area 3. Freedom from pain, injury or disease by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment 4. Freedom to express normal behaviour by providing sufficient space for them to sleep, eat, exercise away from elimination areas and proper facilities and company of the animal's own kind 5. Freedom from fear and distress by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering “The best way to make people understand how wrong abuse is (be it a dog or a person), is to write a song from the dog’s perspective but using humans to depict the scenes in a music video. It was a groundbreaking, extremely controversial concept and we knew it.” The message is inarguable; "Abuse is Abuse"

EDUCATE to end puppy millsFrom ARC (Animal Rescue Corps)-
There are an estimated 15,000 puppy mills in the U.S. alone. In these mass-production factories, dogs are forced to produce litter after litter of puppies, supplying nearly 100 percent of the dogs sold in pet stores and directly to consumers online and through newspaper ads. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of dogs per facility live in overcrowded and unsanitary cages without sufficient food, water, grooming, socialization, or veterinary care and therefore they frequently suffer a multitude of social, emotional, and physical conditions, including genetic disorders and deformities. Educate to end Puppy Mills. READ full description, article, TRUTH here Join Sheryl Crow and Animal Rescue Corps in educating to end puppy mills.
Become and ARC Angel
Stand with ARC - Animal Rescue Corps - and help end animal cruelty and save lives. ARC is an animal protection organization that focuses on the rescues of larger numbers of animals who are abused, neglected or are victims of natural disasters. Animal Rescue Corps does not lead protests or lobby. While these types of measures in the political arena are important to animal protection overall, Animal Rescue Corps seeks to affect lasting change using a direct-action approach. Animal Rescue Corps’ specialization makes it one of the only animal protection organizations whose focus is not split between rescue work and multiple animal issue campaigns. Animal Rescue Corps spends all of its time, effort and resources on physically extracting animals from dangerous situations, conducting shelter/sanctuary assessments and administering its training programs. We have one mission and one mission only: to end animal suffering through direct and compassionate action. 'THE VOICE' Finalist Bria Kelly Films
Anti Dog Abuse Video At NFL Vick's Former Dog Fighting Compound "The inspiration behind this song was fueled by an aggressive Facebook attack directed at Bluegrass Singer and Co-Writer, Donna Hughes. Donna had written a song, 'Dog on a 10 Foot Chain' that had remained on the top of the charts for 10 weeks straight. One afternoon, critics attacked her publicly and told her that no one cared about a stupid dog. On July 25th, actors, writers, producers and Bria Kelly showed up on 1915 Moonlight Rd. in Smithfield, VA once the home of Michael Vick's "Bad Newz" dog fighting compound (now home of Dogs Deserve Better that operates the Good Newz Rehabilitation Center for Chained & Penned Dogs) to create what could only be described as a “surreal” experience. After 22 hours of filming on the very property where dozens of dogs had been fought and died, no one left without having a life altering experience. The music video premiered on September 25, 2015 at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center 2410 Wickham Avenue Newport News, VA. Where to get the music and read the powerful lyrics http://www.whymemusic.com/how-to-get-it "Why Me?" is available for download and a portion of every sale will benefit the dogs at the Good Newz Rehabilitation Center for Chained & Penned Dogs.
